Dad brought home a Windows 3.1 machine when I was six. Zero games.

No Solitaire, no Minesweeper, nothing. I opened every folder on the hard drive instead, just to see what each one did. I had no idea what I was looking for. I was six. There was no plan.

Most kids got a Nintendo. I got File Manager and an adult-sized suspicion that computers were hiding interesting shit from me. Honestly, it worked out.

2001
First builds

Wrote my first HTML page in fifth grade.

My whole process was View Source on any site I liked, paste the tags into Notepad, hit refresh, and see what broke. Then I would change one thing, refresh again, and feel like a tiny wizard when the background turned blue.

Nobody assigned this. I was ten. Other kids had hobbies that involved sunlight.

2004
LAN years

Built my first gaming rig.

Competitive Counter-Strike, LAN tournaments across the country, a full tower PC hauled through airports and hotel lobbies. Imagine a convention hall full of exhausted teenagers screaming callouts at beige monitors. The sweatiest years of my life.

My parents drove me everywhere, paid the entry fees, and never once suggested I find a normal hobby. They are heroes. They also had absolutely no idea where any of this was going.

2006
Live events

Started running live events across DFW.

Sound, lighting, AV, photography. Every weekend brought a new venue, a new load-in, and a new discovery about what a road case cannot actually survive. The manufacturer always has a more optimistic answer than gravity.

You learn to solve problems fast when the room fills in twenty minutes, the keynote laptop has one mystery port, and the clock does not give a damn about your feelings.

2016
MIGHTY

Founded MIGHTY Photo Booths.

Premium photo and video activations for corporate brands. Canon DSLRs, custom designs built from scratch, self-powered battery rigs so we could set up anywhere a planner pointed, including several places no reasonable person would describe as a setup area.

It started as a side hustle. Then it ate the garage, the weekends, and eventually the rest of my career.

2018
Met Vivian

Met Vivian at a Fourth of July fireworks show. Best thing that ever happened to me or MIGHTY.

Kaboomtown fireworks over the runway. MIGHTY was hired to capture a private event on the Addison airfield that night, and I was working the booth with my son Aidyn right next to me. Somewhere between load-in and the finale, Vivian and I got to talking, and eight years later I am still glad she stopped by that booth.

Vivian is the driving force at MIGHTY now. She inspects every piece of creative before it goes out and spots fires before they start at our live events, all instinct and a sharp analytical eye.

Then in 2023 she brought us our son Adrian. Best partner I will ever have.

2023
Full time

Went full time on the crazy idea.

January 1, 2023. Every AV contract I had spent years building expired, and I let them all go on purpose. Steady work, safe money, gone. A very mature and relaxing decision. I checked our savings about forty times that January.

That was the year we broke our first $100,000 in revenue. Since then the bar keeps moving: scaling a team, keeping a full client list happy while chasing new ones, and building experiences nobody has seen before.

It is stressful in the way a roller coaster is stressful when you also own the roller coaster. It is still the most fun I have ever had in business.

2023
ADHD ≠ bug

Figured out the thing people called a weakness was actually the engine.

Hyperfocus used to mean losing a whole weekend to something nobody asked for, then emerging Sunday night with a perfect solution to a problem that barely existed. My brain is still 46 browser tabs, and one of them is definitely playing music somewhere.

The difference is that I finally gave it a useful target. Today that pile is 189 working tools. Same brain. Better aim. Fewer apologies.

Now
Today

These days I mostly teach robots to do my old jobs.

These days I build AI agents, automation systems, creative tools, and security software. Mostly I teach robots to do the repetitive parts of my old jobs so the humans can keep the weird, judgment-heavy parts.

I like clean systems, cold LaCroix, direct answers, and software that saves somebody from opening the same miserable spreadsheet for the four-hundredth time. I help by building the thing, not standing beside a slide deck explaining why the thing would be cool.
