That 78-minute video?Read it in 6.

Every minute of runtime gets watched, mapped, and distilled. What comes back is an executive brief: takeaways, numbers, exact on-screen commands, clickable timestamps.

One run gives you back an hour and costs under a dollar, or nothing at all on Google's free tier. It pays for itself the first time you use it. Your time is worth more than someone else's runtime.

How it works

Three commands.
Zero watching.

01

Paste a video URL

YouTube link or a direct video file. One command in your terminal.

02

Gemini watches all of it

Every frame, every word. Runs in the background while you keep working.

03

Read the brief

A structured markdown file lands in minutes. You skim, you act, you move on.

The deliverable

What lands in the brief.

nothing on screen gets missed
Chapter map

Timestamped outline of every segment. Jump straight to the part you care about.

Techniques, step by step

Every workflow demonstrated on screen, written out exactly as shown. Reproducible without the video.

On-screen artifacts

Commands, code, prompts, settings transcribed verbatim. The stuff you normally pause and squint at.

Claims with receipts

Prices, benchmarks, and numbers captured with timestamps so you can verify before you act.

Full transcript

Optional second pass produces a complete timestamped transcript for searching later.

Requirements

What you need.

$ python3 --version # 3.10+, stdlib only
$ export GEMINI_API_KEY # free from Google AI Studio
$ python3 ingest.py "URL" # a video worth not watching

Works with public YouTube URLs and direct video links. Gemini's free tier covers casual use, so trying it costs exactly $0. On a paid key a 10-minute talk is under a dime and a 78-minute workshop is about seventy cents. If your hour is worth anything at all, the math is not close.

Can't scrape your favorite videos?

The free release stops at public links, and sites change their guardrails constantly. Premium builds keep working because I maintain them: course portals, member areas, private Zoom and Meet recordings, batch pipelines for whole channels, briefs wired into Notion, Slack, or your CRM.

Skip one useless hour-long recording a week and a custom build pays for itself the first month.
